Michael Valva is the grandson and namesake of the founder of the company, Michele Valva. His father, Bill Valva, headed the company for some 50 years with his brother Bob. Michael, who is vice president of the company, has been a mainstay of the sales team for more than 35 years. During this time, he has built a well-deserved reputation as a hardworking, knowledgeable agent with integrity. He served two terms on the Oakland Association of Realtors Board of Directors and spent many years on the Ethics and Arbitration Committee, acting as a panelist in response to consumer complaints of fellow real estate agents.
Having lived in the East Bay his entire life, Michael has deep ties to the community. He attended Bishop O’Dowd High School in Oakland and graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelor of Arts degree 1978. In 1979 he earned his real estate license and in 1994, became a broker.
Over the years, he has assisted a great number of buyers and sellers, attorneys, executors and city and county agencies in the sale of residential property. He serves Oakland and other East Bay communities and is skilled in every aspect of the real estate process.
In addition to being a member of the Oakland Association of Realtors, Michael is a member of the California Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors and a 30 year member of the Rotary Club of Oakland.
